Backpack Sizing Chart

Pack size is based on two measurements: torso length and waist (hip belt) circumference.

How to Measure

Waist: Measure around your waist just above the top of the hip bones, roughly two fingers below the belly button.

Torso: Measure from the bony bump at the base of the neck (C7 vertebra) down the spine to the point behind your belly button.

Notes: Pack capacity does not change between sizes — only the yoke and waist belt differ. If you fall between waist belt sizes, we recommend sizing down so the belt can snugly secure around your hips. The listed ranges leave a little extra adjustment room for extra clothing layers.

A medic bag for the front line.

The Rapid Access Trauma System (RATS) pack is our front line medic bag. Designed for quick, one-handed access to organized medical supplies, the RATS has removable internal pockets with clear vinyl windows and two IV bag pockets. Attach the RATS to a NICE Frame for additional capacity to carry litters or combi tools.

  • Hook and loop patch on lid for identification and patches with zippered lid pocket
  • Top lid has a clamshell opening and features internal bandage and gauze loops
  • External shear pocket with elastic loops on either side for quick access items (tourniquets)
  • Two IFAK sized 150 cu-in front pockets for blowout kits
  • Back panel stores a closed-cell foam pad to insulate patients from the ground
  • PALS webbing accommodates MOLLE accessories
  • INTERNAL FEATURES: Internal top handle for hanging opened pack
  • INTERNAL FEATURES: Two internal sleeves for splints and long items
  • INTERNAL FEATURES: Four removable pockets with color coded handles, vinyl windows and hook and loop strips to add an ID tape
